Weekend in PDX: The Life, Writings & Lasting Influence of C. S. Lewis

Jen and I had a blast spending several days in Portland over the weekend. The good people of Westside: A Jesus Church invited me out to speak on the life, writings, and lasting influence of C. S. Lewis. We love Portland's funky, Pacific Northwest charm, and it was life-giving to see old friends and make some new ones.

Along with sharing on Lewis and selling the very first copies of my new book, Called: My Journey to C. S. Lewis's House and Back Again, Jen and I enjoyed some life-changing coffee and we took our first trip to the legendary Powell's Books.

The talk I gave included lots of stories that I used to tell to guests at C. S. Lewis's old home, the Kilns, where we lived. It was fun to share these stories with folks on this side of the Atlantic.

I'd gladly talk about C. S. Lewis to an empty room, so it warmed my heart to see so many friendly, engaged faces, especially at nine o'clock on a Saturday morning.

In case you weren't able to be there, you can have a listen below. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope to see you down the road!
