The Big Day Is Here... I Think I'll Take My Girls For A Swim

Well, friends, the big day is finally here.

I've read what some of my favorite authors do on the day of their book's release. Donald Miller confesses to checking his book's Amazon ranking every seven minutes to see how it's doing. Anne Lamott talks about roaming her house anxiously waiting for friends to call and tell her what a remarkable book she's crafted.

For me, today feels like my birthday, Christmas morning, and the most nerve-wracking senior prom all wrapped up in one.

No book I have ever read does justice to this topic like Ryan's story: Will Vaus Reviews "Called"

"No book I have ever read, or sermon I have ever heard, does justice to this topic like the simple sharing of Ryan's story--not so much because his tale is extraordinary--but simply because it is told truly."

Weekend in PDX: The Life, Writings & Lasting Influence of C. S. Lewis

Jen and I had the pleasure of spending several days in Portland over the weekend. The good people of Westside: A Jesus Church invited me out to speak on the life, writings, and lasting influence of C. S. Lewis. Portland is always fun, and it was great to see many old friends again.

3 Things to Know About "Called"

Called: My Journey to C. S. Lewis's House and Back Again will be out in less than a month. It's been a long journey, but the big day is nearly here.

Set in historic Oxford, England and the former home of C. S. Lewis, Called is a memoir on calling. It's an honest account of the exciting peaks and difficult valleys of mine and my wife's journey of leaving home, career, and community to pursue a calling.

It's also a wrestling with the question of what it even means to be called.

Here are three things to know about the book.
